Donations to Glove Cities Veterinary Hospital’s Shelter Supply Drive go to the Fulton County Regional SPCA.
The holiday season is a lonely time of year for homeless and unwanted dogs, but the volunteers at the Fulton County Regional SPCA make sure every pup feels welcome and loved. It takes hundreds of pounds of dog food to meet the needs of the abandoned dogs the shelter takes in, and 100% of the funds that pay for those supplies come from donations. Without the support of local animal lovers, it would be impossible for the shelter to provide the care that these future family pets need and deserve.
Throughout the month of December, we will be collecting donations for Regional SPCA at the hospital. Your generous contributions ensure that the shelter has the supplies and equipment needed to care for our county’s homeless dogs. Not only will you be feeding and caring for some of our region’s most vulnerable animals, you’ll be providing support to the 50+ volunteers who work tirelessly to keep the shelter running.
A gift of money funds Regional SPCA’s mission to engage the hearts, hands, and minds of the community to help animals.
Funding is at the top of the shelter’s needs list. Your monetary contributions make low-cost spay and neutering services, low-cost rabies and vaccination clinics, and classes on training and healthcare available to everyone in the county. In turn, these services help to prevent over-population and abandonment and improve the lives of animals in our community and beyond. You can leave monetary and gift card donations in the collection box in our Gloversville location reception area.
Tip: The shelter welcomes gift cards to Harvey’s Pet Store in Johnstown.
You can also donate high priority items that help the shelter care for homeless and abused animals.
The following list includes high priority items that make a real impact on the lives of both the shelter pups and the volunteers. You can drop your shelter donations at our Gloversville location on 35 Harrison Street during normal business hours (Monday-Friday 7:30-7, Saturday & Sunday 9-5).
We are accepting the following shelter supplies at our Gloversville location.
