Grain Free Diets

#didyouknow

There is no credible evidence found showing grain-free diets are a BETTER option for your cat or dog. There is a misconception that whole grains are just “fillers”, by “fillers” meaning grains have little to no nutritional value. Grains actually have many vital nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids. Various grain products also provide protein, which may be easier for your pet to digest than some proteins from meat.

Food allergies to grains are very uncommon. If a pet does have a food allergy it’s most likely due to animal proteins, such as chicken, beef and dairy.

With that being said, do your research! If you have any questions about what food would be best for your pet give us a call. Nutrition is a vital part of your pet’s health and well being.
